Nunukan – Bertempat di Gedung Akbar Nunukan, Kalimantan Utara, Sabtu 19 Maret 2022, kepengurusan Ikatan Pemuda Sulawesi Selatan (IPSS) dikukuhkan. Kepengurusan yang dilantik oleh Pengurus Wilayah Kalimantan Utara tersebut yakni IPSS Nunukan, IPSS Tarakan, IPSS Bulungan dan IPSS Tana Tidung.

Ketua PW IPSS Kaltara, Hasbudi usai melantik keempat kepengurusan Kabupaten /Kota se Kaltara berpesan kepada semua pengurus yang dilantik agar benar – menjaga amanah yang telah diberikan.

” Saya berharap kepada seluruh pengurus IPSS yang sudah terbentuk sebelumnya, dapat bekerjasama untuk mengembangkan dan memajukan IPSS berkontribusi terhadap kemajuan di Perbatasan,” ujarnya.

Lebih lanjut Hasbudi melanjutkan bahwa IPSS harus mampu menjadi salah satu motor penggerak roda pembangunan di Kaliamantan Utara, terlebih untuk mendukung Ibu Kota Negara ( IKN).

“Untuk itu saya berharap kepada semua pemgurus yang telah dilantik agar dapat bersinergi dengan semua kelompok masyarakat dan pemerintah demi terwujudnya kemajuan dalam pembangunan di Perbatasan,” tandasnya

Sememtara itu Bupati Nunukan, Asmin Laura Hafid mengapresiasi terbentuknya IPSS di seluruh Kabupaten/Kota. Laura mengungkapkan, Kabupaten Nunukan terdiri dari berbgai etnis. Untuk itu beliau minta agar IPSS dapat berperan aktif dalam menciptakan kondusifitas di Kabupaten Nunukan

“Kabupaten Nunukan terdiri dari masyarakat yang multikultural. Untuk itu saya berharap agar IPSS dapat menjadi bagian dari pendorong terciptanya suasana yang harmonis dan kondusif,” tutur Laura.

Selain itu, Laura mengingatkan bahwa semua pengurus IPSS bersasal dari latar belakang dan pandangan politik yang berbeda. Maka ia mewanti – wanti agar IPSS benar – benar dapat berdiri di garis yang netral 

“Kita ketahui bahwa para pengurus IPSS berasal dari jalan politik yang beranega ragam. Maka demi kokohnya organisasi, alangkah baiknya jika IPSS tidak dipolitisi,” tandas Laura

Mereka yang terjangkit dan berstatus sebagai pasien covid selain mengalami kerugian waktu, tenaga, dan bahkan nyawa sebagai akibat imbas dari menyebarnya virus corona tersebut, juga telah membuat terpuruknya perkononomian.

Pada gilirannya tak hanya berdampak pada kesehatan, tapi juga terhadap kehidupan sehari-hari. Seperti terbatasnya aktivitas di luar rumah, ekonomi yang mulai menurun, hingga banyak masyarakat yang mengalami pemotongan gaji dan PHK.

“Covid-19 telah memperparah kesenjangan ekonomi dalam masyarakat yang telah ada sebelum wabah terjadi. Mereka yang sebelumnya memiliki kehidupan dan pekerjaan yang rentan semakin tidak pasti penghidupannya,” ujarnya

Suka atau tidak, menurut Marthin, harus diakui bahwa dampak nyata dari pandemi Covid-19 adalah perekonomian masyarakat mengalami penurunan bahkan anjlok, banyak pengusaha, pedagang, mengalami kerugian bahkan tidak dapat beroperasi lagi.

Lebih lanjut Marthin menjelaskan bahwa semenjak diberlakukannya physical distancing (jaga jarak) dan kebijakan pemerintah untuk membatasi berkumpulnya orang. Dampak sosial yang terjadi adalah warga kesulitan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dasar hidup seperti memperoleh makanan.

“Banyak warga miskin yang hanya mengandalkan pendapatan harian bingung hanya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan makanan selama tinggal dirumah. Hilangnya pendapatan bagi warga masyarakat berarti jumlah angka kemiskinan masyarakat akan semakin meningkat,” jelasnya. 

Memang Pemerintah telah berupaya semaksimal mungkin dlalam mengatasi penyebaran Covid-19. Berbagai kebijakan seperti menggelontorkan bantuan tunai pun sudah dilakukan. 

Namun Merthin mengingaatkan bahwa hal tersebut tak akan mampu mengatasi pademi tanpa peran serta masyarakat.

Karena menurut mantan Bupati Malinau tersebut, sesungguhnya adanya virus corona ini merupakan ujian bagi semua pihak.

Pademi Covid-19 seharusnya membuat siapapun sadar bahwa hidup disiplin dan sikap tengang rasa itu adalah wajib dimiliki dan dijalankan.

“Untuk memangkas penyebaran virus corona itu mudah, yakni patuhi protokol kesehatan yang telah dianjurkan Pemerintah. Namun yang tak kalah penting adalah mengatasi dampak pandemi ini,” ujarnya.

Marthin menegaskan, apabila ada anggapan bahwa semangat kebangsaan tak kan mampu mengatasi dampak Covid-19. Justru, menurutnya, dengan semangat kebangsaaan maka semua permasalahan termasuk pandemi covid akan teratasi.

Contoh yang paling nyata, ungkap Marthin, pada saat salah satu pihak terimbas virus corona secara fisik sehingga harus menjalani karantina mandiri, maka tetangga sekitar saling bergotong royong memberikan bantuan, maka beban-beban pasien akan hilang atau minimal berkurang

Untuk itu Marthin Bila mengajak masyarakat untuk bersinergi mengahiri pademi covid – 19 diantaranya dengan bersedia untuk divaksin. 

Walaupun kasua covid – 19 di Kalimantan Utara sudah menurun, namun Marthib Billa minta agar masyarakat juga tetap waspada, menjaga diri dan keluarga. 

“Mencintai diri sendiri merupakan wujud cinta kepada bangsa dan negara. Harapan juga agar masyarakat yg belum vaksin segra melakukan vaksin sesuai jadwal yang telah ditetapkan oleh pemerintah baik vaksin 1-boster,” pungkasnya
